Out Of Bounds: Grief Support From The Inside Out

Out Of Bounds: Grief Support From The Inside Out is an innovative, resident-led initiative that focuses on empowering members of this community who are witnesses, survivors of violent deaths, specifically youth and families of youth, killed by gun violence.

Through a “mutual peer support model,” trained community approach can eventually provide the compassion, resilience, and familiarity that are needed to address our present situation.

History:The genesis of Out Of Bounds: Grief Support – (OOB) evolved from a partnership between Jane and Finch community and BFO-T (Bereaved Families of Ontario – Toronto), where J/F residents participated in IK (Indigenous Knowledge) focus groups from April to June of 2008.
